If I seem to be fixated on the ball park lately, it’s not my fault. For some reason, that environment is conducive to all kinds of parenting strangeness.

Oh, and if I’m fixated on the scatological lately, that also is not my fault. We’re a moist family. I did not know this.

Raise the curtain on Boy 8 in the dugout with his team, Her Hotness milling about with the other baseball parents, Boy 4 buzzing around their knees on the bleachers.

Her Hotness alternates between cheering the boys on the field and chit chatting with other parents. Suddenly, from her left and without warning, Boy 4 lets go a sneeze, spraying her and the total stranger she’s sitting by.

Her Hotness (brushing droplets from her arms and cheek): Oh! Let me get you a tissue.
Boy 4 (loudly. Really loudly): But Mom! It wasn’t a snotty one!
Her Hotness (to the now-moist stranger: I’m sorry! Did he get you?
Stranger: Yeah, but at least it wasn’t a snotty one.
